Macomb Township Brothers Prepare to Represent Team USA in BMX World Championships in Australia

Chase and Cameron Janczewski, brothers from Macomb Township, are heading to Brisbane, Australia this week to compete in the 2026 UIC BMX Racing World Championships. Cameron, 14, and Chase, 15, picked up BMX racing a few years ago while living in Georgia and have since become serious competitors, training regularly at Waterford Oaks, a local BMX park with over 50 years of history. The world championships, running through July 25th, draws over 3,000 riders from 50+ countries. Cameron will compete in the 14-year-old Boys Challenge division on Friday, July 24th, while Chase competes in the 16-year-old group. Both brothers emphasize the importance of dedication and hard work, and are looking forward to the experience of competing at the highest level of their sport.
