Cranbrook Tennis Classic: Wimbledon names head to Bloomfield Hills
BLOOMFIELD HILLS. The Cranbrook Tennis Classic runs July 19 through July 26 at the Cranbrook Schools Tennis Complex, an ATP Challenger 125 event named the tour's 2025 Tournament of the Year. The field includes recent Wimbledon competitors Michael Zheng, Mackenzie McDonald, and Thanasi Kokkinakis, plus Reilly Opelka, who grew up in St. Joseph and once ranked as high as No. 17 in the world. Defending champion Mark Lajal of Estonia returns to try to keep his title.
Single day tickets are $22, a week pass runs $155.25, and any high school tennis player gets in free on Wednesday, July 22, if they show up in their school jersey. Every dollar of proceeds goes to the Palmer Park Tennis Academy in Detroit, and the Tennis Channel is carrying the matches.
