Campus Martius pop-up: Carhartt backs a shipping container store
DETROIT. The Downtown Detroit Partnership opened a pop-up shop inside Campus Martius park, set inside a shipping container decorated by Detroit Sign Painters and backed by Carhartt. It's stocked with Detroit-made goods and apparel, including a limited SMPLFD line inspired by tulip blooms and an exclusive Pewabic tile from the Postcards from Detroit series.
The shop is open Thursday through Sunday, noon to 8 p.m., and is expected to run through October. Proceeds go back into programming and upkeep for the downtown park.
