Detroit Festival of Books: its ninth year is its biggest

DETROIT. The Detroit Festival of Books returns to Eastern Market on Sunday, July 19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., free to attend. More than 300 authors and vendors from the U.S. and Canada will fill four market sheds, DTE Plaza, and a parking lot with books, records, comics, and collectibles.

The festival started in 2017 and has grown every year since. This is its ninth edition, and organizers say it's the largest yet. There's a lineup for kids, rare finds for collectors, and cheap paperbacks for everyone else. An official afterparty follows at Detroit City Distillery.
