Troy Traffic Jam: 300 cars and a Dale Earnhardt tribute
TROY. The Troy Traffic Jam returns August 2 for its 18th year, free and running 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers expect more than 300 vehicles, from a 1908 Model T to a 1957 Bel Air, plus military vehicles on loan from local collectors and museums.
The Gallagher Tech Talk Series brings in engineers from Corvette and Ford along with racing veterans David Hobbs and Roger Bailey. A panel will honor Dale Earnhardt Sr., with the No. 3 Corvette C5-R on loan from the National Corvette Museum. Kids get a pedal car race, and car registration is open now for anyone who wants to show a vehicle.
