Sterlingfest: three days, three stages, one $38 wristband
STERLING HEIGHTS. Sterlingfest runs July 23 through 25 at Dodge Park and the city center complex at Utica and Dodge Park roads, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Free concerts start at 7 p.m. each night: tribute acts for Gwen Stefani and Bruno Mars on Thursday, Julianne Ankley and Gretchen Wilson on Friday, and Slaughter and Great White on Saturday, alongside the Suds 'n' Sounds and Jazz and Blues stages.
An art fair in the northwest parking lot runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with jewelry, paintings, woodwork, and pottery. The carnival midway near the library and police department runs 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a $38 wristband for unlimited rides. A 5K starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, a drone show lights up at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, and there's a kids tent, food trucks, and a beer pavilion throughout.
Police Chief Andy Satterfield said officers "will be highly visible throughout the event."
