American 16-year-old Jordan Lee wins Wimbledon juniors tournament as a qualifier

Jordan Lee, a 16-year-old American tennis player, won the Wimbledon boys' singles title on July 12, 2026, defeating Australia's Cruz Hewitt 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. Lee became only the second qualifier ever to win the tournament and the first qualifier to win any Grand Slam boys' event since 2014. He's also the first American to claim the Wimbledon boys' title since 2021.

Lee's victory is especially notable given his comeback narrative—he spent much of the past year and a half sidelined by injuries and questioned whether he'd play tennis again.
