Free in November: museum days and family events around Metro Detroit

DETROIT. The Gilmore Car Museum in Chesterfield, Cranbrook, the Detroit Historical Museum and the Detroit Children's Museum are all running free admission nights or community days in November. At the Gilmore, kids can sit inside vehicles like a DeLorean.

Home Depot and Lowe's are holding free kids' workshops to build holiday ornaments and seasonal crafts. Libraries across the region are adding free programs, including storytimes, dance parties and Pokemon events for all ages, as the holiday season opens with tree lightings and parades.
