Shell Shock'D Tacos: Margo Moon's Detroit spot eyes expansion
DETROIT. Margo Moon opened Shell Shock'D Tacos in 2021, serving street style tacos with a Detroit twist, including elote inspired chicken wing tacos, crunch wraps and birria egg rolls. The restaurant placed No. 8 on the Detroit Free Press Top 10 Restaurant List in 2024 and has won the Taco Showdown at Eastern Market twice, in 2022 and 2025, taking both best taco and best margarita.
Moon is now working to franchise the concept to other states.
