Holiday lights: 10 Metro Detroit destinations for the season
DETROIT. Wild Lights returns to the Detroit Zoo with new illuminated trails and butterfly art for 2026. MI Bright Lights runs as a drive through synchronized light show, and Aurora at Glenlore Trails is a walk through illuminated forest with interactive wands.
The Festival of Trees runs Nov. 22 through 29 in Dearborn, benefiting pediatric research. Winter Wonder Lights lights up Meadow Brook Hall, Santa visits downtown Birmingham, and Canterbury Village holds its Holiday Stroll. Greenfield Village runs Holiday Nights, and Midtown hosts Noel Night. Families willing to drive to Grand Rapids can add ENLIGHTEN at Frederik Meijer Gardens.
Most of the destinations run through December, with select nights adding Santa visits or drone shows.
