Lions: two make CBS Sports' top 25-and-under list

DETROIT. Two Detroit Lions cracked CBS Sports' top-10 list of players 25 and under for 2026. Offensive tackle Penei Sewell ranked third. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs came in ninth.

Gibbs has 49 career touchdowns through his first three seasons, the most in NFL history over that span, and has averaged at least 5.0 yards a carry each year. Sewell has built a reputation as an elite blocker in both the run and pass game. Safety Brian Branch and tight end Sam LaPorta didn't make the list, a surprise given their production.

Not every pick from that 2024 draft class has aged as well.
