Marrow in the Market: a review from Eastern Market

DETROIT. Marrow in the Market opened in November 2025 in a 1909 brick building a block from Eastern Market's sheds. The three-part concept stacks a butcher shop, a bar, and a two-story dining room, with the upstairs Capital Dining Room seating 120.

Executive chef Noelle Prater runs a menu built around beef tartare with whiskey vinaigrette and pork rind, pan-seared rainbow trout with coconut bean stew and bay scallops, and a picanha steak with Urfa chili jus and mango chutney. The bar pours cocktails like the Menage De'troit, made with rye, rhubarb, and vermouth, and the wine list is curated by sister shop The Royce.

Reservations are recommended. Marrow in the Market is open Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner, plus weekend brunch, and the space is wheelchair accessible with patio seating available.
