Mei Semones: Ann Arbor singer's new single brings her home in March

ANN ARBOR. Mei Semones, a hometown act, has a new single out called "Howl." She's booked a show at the Ark next March, the small room where she's played before.

WDET's "In The Groove" broke the news on its Oct. 5 show, which also played tracks from Bill Frisell and Willie Nelson. The Tara Clerkin Trio got a mention too: they're in town in January, playing Moondog Cafe.

"In The Groove" airs weekdays, noon to 3 p.m., on 101.9 WDET and streams on demand.
