These surprising spaces in Detroit set the stage for intimate Candlelight concerts: from Neo-Gothic landmarks to an open-air ballpark

Candlelight, a touring intimate concert series, is bringing candlelit performances to several striking Metro Detroit venues. The Detroit Masonic Temple in Cass Park hosts shows starting July 12, featuring tribute acts and classical music (90s Unplugged, Drake, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Coldplay & Imagine Dragons, and more through December). Sanctuary Church Birmingham, a 1929 Gothic-style landmark in downtown Birmingham, hosts performances from September onward with shows like Tribute to Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift. The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms, situated on Lake St. Clair with views of the water, rounds out the lineup with events starting early September.
