Candlelight concerts: from Masonic Temple to an open-air ballpark
DETROIT. The touring Candlelight concert series has booked four Metro Detroit venues for its 2026 run, each one built for something other than a concert. The Detroit Masonic Temple, the world's largest Masonic temple, sits at 500 Temple Street with 16 floors and more than 1,000 rooms; it hosts six different Candlelight programs between October and December, including Vivaldi's Four Seasons on October 18 and Christmas Classics on December 17, tickets from $32.50 to $46.50.
Sanctuary Church Birmingham, an English Gothic building from 1929 at 300 Willits Street with vaulted ceilings and stained glass, hosts tributes to Bad Bunny, Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift, tickets from $35.50 to $41.50. The War Memorial, a 1910 lakeside estate at 32 Lake Shore Drive in Grosse Pointe Farms, hosts a Queen and Beatles tribute and a Fleetwood Mac tribute on November 8, from $45 to $47.
For an outdoor option, UWM Field at 7171 Auburn Road in Utica hosts Candlelight Open Air: Tribute to Michael Jackson on September 26 at 8 p.m., tickets from $24.50.
