Skeleton Crew: Rosedale Players open Oct. 9 in Southfield

SOUTHFIELD. Rosedale Community Players opens "Skeleton Crew" at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, running through Oct. 24 at Peace Lutheran Church, 17029 W. 13 Mile Rd. Tickets are at rosedalecommunityplayers.com.
Dominique Morisseau's play follows four workers left at one of Detroit's last auto stamping plants during the 2008 economic collapse, as the plant faces closure. Jimmie Comer III directs a four person cast led by Shelby Bradley as Faye and Yakeem Tatum.
"The need to survive is so prevalent in the show," Comer said. "People had to go through a lot in Detroit to protect the people invested in that line of work." The theater's cabaret seating lets the audience bring their own food and drinks.
