Rent Free Haus: coffee side opens Oct. 20 at 1347 E. Fisher Freeway

DETROIT. Rent Free Haus is a coffee shop by day and a listening bar by night in Eastern Market, at 1347 E. Fisher Freeway. Co-owners Lamont Leak and Everett Moore run it. Leak is a Detroit native who worked as a casting producer on NBC's The Voice. The coffee side opens Oct. 20.

Wednesdays are Vinyl Nights. Thursdays are Haus Calls, with live music. Fridays rotate local DJs, and Sundays bring artists under the Plastic Sofa Sundays name. Takeisha Pack is the events manager.
