Refettorio Detroit: the soup kitchen gets a sit-down menu

DETROIT. The Capuchin Soup Kitchen is spending $2.4 million to turn its east side building into Refettorio Detroit, a full-service, restaurant-style dining room opening in early February 2027. Chef Alison Costello runs the kitchen, working with the nonprofit Food for Soul on the concept. Construction wraps in January, with an open house planned once it does.
