Minock Park Place: 42 affordable senior apartments on Grand River

DETROIT. Minock Park Place has opened at 19505 Grand River Ave. with 42 affordable apartments for renters 55 and older. It's the first affordable senior housing in Grandmont Rosedale, and it took seven years to get built.

The building is mixed use. Along with the apartments there's 5,400 square feet of commercial space, on a stretch of Grand River the neighborhood treats as its main commercial and cultural strip.

Cinnaire Solutions, a community development financial institution, is a co-owner. Residents and neighborhood groups have already cut the ribbon.
