Fresh Farms: Portnoy rates the pizza a 7.9 after 228 days of tagging
GROSSE POINTE FARMS. Dave Portnoy walked into Fresh Farms Market unannounced around 2:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, and scored its cheese pizza a 7.9 on his One Bite review. The market had spent the previous 228 straight days filming customers reviewing a single bite of that pizza and tagging him on Facebook and Instagram.
Manager James Najjar ran the campaign. He says he asked Portnoy whether he'd seen any of the videos, and Portnoy told him he'd seen every one. Najjar says the score puts the market in the top three in Michigan on Portnoy's One Bite app.
The market is known locally for its made-from-scratch New York style thin crust. Portnoy hasn't posted the video yet.
