Dîner en Blanc: 1,400 dressed in white for a secret Detroit dinner

DETROIT. Dîner en Blanc held its second Detroit edition Aug. 29, drawing more than 1,400 guests dressed head to toe in white to a location kept secret until volunteer guides led them there. Guests brought their own tables, chairs and picnics, then danced after the meal.
The pop-up dinner started in Paris in 1988 and now runs in more than 80 cities. Detroit hosted its first edition in 2025. Registration for the next one opens at detroit.dinerenblanc.com.
