Oktoberfest: where to go in Southeast Michigan this month

DETROIT. Oktoberfest season runs through October across Southeast Michigan. Alpino, at 1426 Bagley St. in Detroit, holds its celebration Sept. 20 for $52 a ticket; the last time slot is already sold out. The Brakeman, at 22 John R St., runs Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 18. Clarkston Union closes its own run Sept. 27 at 54 S. Main St.
Frankenmuth's Heritage Park hosts Sept. 18 through 21, with $10 admission and free entry for kids 15 and under, plus a wiener dog race. Canterbury Village in Lake Orion runs Sept. 13 and 14 for $5 cash or $6 by card. St. Clair Shores spreads its celebration across multiple venues from Sept. 20 to Oct. 5, free to attend.
