JW Marriott Detroit Water Square: 601-room hotel opens on the Riverwalk

DETROIT. The JW Marriott Detroit Water Square has opened along the Riverwalk, adding 601 rooms, including 44 suites, and more than 53,000 square feet of meeting space to the city's convention capacity. Two ballrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows facing the water, and outdoor terraces run through the property.
Dining includes The Assembly lobby bar, The Veranda restaurant and the return of Joe Muir Seafood and Chophouse. Landscaped grounds and public art are open to anyone walking the Riverwalk, not just hotel guests.
Scott Stinebaugh, the hotel's pre-opening director of sales and marketing, called it "an urban oasis," designed for spaces that feel "calming and balanced."
