Cosm Detroit: dome venue opens downtown with an 87-foot screen

DETROIT. Cosm Detroit opened Sept. 10 at 25 Cadillac Square, a 70,000-square-foot venue built around an 87-foot dome screen. The room holds 1,500 people and has already shown Lions games, with premium dome seats running $330 for the season opener under dynamic pricing.
The food menu sources everything within 100 miles, including a Cadillac Stack sandwich with Wrigley's corned beef from Eastern Market and Oberon beer on tap. Cosm hired more than 300 local staff for security, service, and front-of-house roles.
Coming up on the dome: US Open matches and film screenings, including "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," "The Matrix," and "It." Concert programming is still in development.
