GOAL Line: Detroit adds 7 after-school sites with $2.2 million

DETROIT. Detroit is putting $2.2 million toward seven new GOAL Line Detroit after-school sites this year, reaching all seven City Council districts for the first time. The free program already serves more than 2,700 students across 33 sites and expects to add about 1,000 more.
Activities include robotics, tutoring, athletics, and coding, with transportation included for K-8 students. The city's goal is a site within two miles of every Detroit school.
