Michelin Guide ceremony: Detroit hosts the inaugural Great Lakes reveal in 2027
DETROIT. Michelin will hold its first American Great Lakes Guide ceremony at Michigan Central on April 21, 2027, the night restaurants across Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties learn whether they've earned a star, a Bib Gourmand, or a Michelin selected listing. It's an invite only event, and it's a first for the region.
Detroit is one of seven cities in the new Great Lakes edition, alongside Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Pittsburgh. Visit Detroit's Claude Molinari says the ceremony will let the city "welcome culinary leaders from across the Great Lakes region and showcase our own food scene, creativity, and hospitality on an international stage."
