Season Fair: free Season Talks kick off the art market, Sept. 10
DETROIT. Season Fair's run at the Shepherd opens with a free symposium, Season Talks, Sept. 10 at the College for Creative Studies, featuring musicians Theo Parrish and Sterling Toles. The fair itself runs Sept. 11 through 13.
Featured artist Oshun Williams works in acrylic and mixed media, using found newspaper, buttons, and Michigan mittens to trace family history and northern migration. Founder Amani Olu built the fair to pay artists more directly than typical gallery commissions allow.
