Funky Ferndale Art Fair: 140 artists mark 20 years, Sept. 25 to 27

FERNDALE. The Funky Ferndale Art Fair turns 20 this year, Sept. 25 through 27 on Nine Mile west of Woodward. It holds 140 juried artists, nearly 60 of them new to the fair, showing stained glass, prints, and handmade dolls instead of the usual craft fair fare.

New this year: a robot and skeleton puppet parade built by the community, plus free puppet making workshops from the DIA. Admission is free, and the DIY Street Fair runs the same weekend on the other side of Woodward.
