Jahmyr Gibbs: NFL execs rank him the league's second-best running back

DETROIT. Jahmyr Gibbs is the second-best running back in the NFL, according to the coaches and executives ESPN polled for its annual positional rankings. More than 70 league insiders took part. Gibbs moved up from third last year, just short of the top spot, which went to Bijan Robinson.

The Lions running back has scored 39 rushing touchdowns in three seasons, second most at his position leaguewide, despite sharing carries. Scouts singled out his vision, his burst, and his hands out of the backfield. Coach Dan Campbell says Gibbs can run any scheme the offense calls, and the plan is to use him as the featured back in 2026.
