The Coney: Bell and Shepard headline Opera House benefit
DETROIT. The Coney brings a long list of Hollywood names with Detroit roots to the Detroit Opera House Sept. 26. Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, J.K. Simmons, Tim Meadows, and Dave Coulier are on the bill, alongside Motown karaoke and a coney dog eating contest.
Organizer Marc Evan Jackson runs the Detroit Creativity Project, which teaches improv to about 1,700 kids a year. The Coney aims to grow that reach through a new Endowed Fund for Youth Arts with the Children's Foundation of Michigan. Tickets are at theconeydetroit.org.
