Usher internship program: 12 Detroit young adults get placed

DETROIT. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Detroit and Usher's New Look nonprofit placed 12 Detroit young adults in a new internship program, "Entertainment Industry Club: Live Touring Edition," announced in May 2026. Eight traveled with Usher's tour working production, creative design and communications. Four more shadowed awards show operations.
Michigan Central's Media Studios youth hub trained them first; interns had to be 18 or older. Among them: Allison Lewis, a Michigan Technological University graduate, Nina Williams, and Logan Hrabowski, a fashion apparel design major at the College for Creative Studies. "No two days are the same on tour," said Shawn Wilson, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Detroit. "You walk in with one set of plans and everything shifts."
Usher played Ford Field in Detroit July 2, 3 and 5.
