DETROIT. Erykah Badu and producer The Alchemist have released "Witch Doctor," the first single off their collaborative album, due out Aug. 28. The pair plays Detroit Sept. 11.

WDET's Ryan Patrick Hooper played the track first on his show "In the Groove," which airs weekdays from noon to 3 p.m. ET on 101.9 WDET. As of the announcement, the album still doesn't have a title.
