Lions offseason: ESPN grades Detroit's moves a top-10 B

DETROIT. ESPN analyst Seth Walder graded the Lions' offseason a B, tying them for ninth best in the league. The headline move: trading running back David Montgomery to Houston for draft picks and an offensive lineman. Detroit also signed backup running back Isiah Pacheco in free agency and locked up linebacker Jack Campbell with a four-year, $81 million extension.

Walder called the Montgomery trade the Lions' smartest move of the offseason, though he said the Campbell deal ran a little pricey. Detroit lost several defensive contributors along the way but added depth at cornerback and defensive end.
