Tigers All-Stars: Dingler, McGonigle, and Greene head to Philadelphia

DETROIT. Three Tigers are headed to the All-Star Game in Philadelphia on July 14: catcher Dillon Dingler, rookie shortstop Kevin McGonigle, and left fielder Riley Greene, making his third straight appearance.

Dingler, 27, has 19 home runs and a .394 on-base percentage this season, third among all position players in WAR. He's the first Tigers catcher to make an All-Star team in 15 years. McGonigle, 21, has drawn more walks than strikeouts and becomes only the fourth Tigers player ever to make the All-Star Game at that age. Greene has 12 home runs after a slow start to the year.
