The list spotlights restaurants like Duly's Place (known for the hani, a fried chicken pita sandwich), Phoenicia (ribs), Yemen Cafe (lamb fahsa), and La Jalisciense (birria made with goat in the traditional Jalisco style). The piece notes that Detroit's food landscape keeps evolving — some longtime icons like National Coney Island and Sister Pie have rotated off, while newer standouts like Michigan & Trumbull's Detroit-style pizza and Mitso's egg and cheese pita wrap have earned their place.
