Parade of Lights: Harrison Township boats sail for Motor City Mission Mitten
HARRISON TOWNSHIP. The Parade of Lights sailed Aug. 1, lining up at Lambrecht's Marina at 8:45 p.m. before a two hour loop past Bridgeview and the Harley Ensign Memorial Launch. This year's proceeds went to Motor City Mission Mitten, which helps unhoused Detroiters.
The event is free to enter with advance registration, and decorations stay family friendly, no religious or political themes allowed. Past years have raised more than $152,000 for local charities since the current organizer took over.
