Jammin' at the Junction: Roseville car show draws over 100 rides
ROSEVILLE. More than 100 car owners lined Utica Road for the Roseville Downtown Development Authority's Jammin' at the Junction car show July 18, despite summer heat and lingering air quality concerns across the state. The road closed between Gratiot Avenue and 12 Mile Road for the day. Organizer Eric Lafata of Lafata Auto Body Shop moved the show from its usual September date to July to avoid conflicting with other shows.
The lineup ran from vintage pickups to muscle cars: Anthony Krisan showed a rat rod built from a 1964 Ford F-100 on a 1989 Grand Marquis chassis, and Thomas Franzel brought a 1980 Plymouth Volare that's been his family's car for 45 years.
