Annual ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Day celebrates 20 years

ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Day is turning 20 this year, marking two decades since the late Luther Keith founded both the event and the nonprofit organization behind it. The annual citywide celebration brings communities together to showcase neighborhood pride and connection. This year's event happens Saturday, August 1, and will feature various neighborhood groups and community participants, with Erin Keith — Luther's daughter and current board member — reflecting on her father's vision and the organization's future direction.
