Eastern Market: a new $16.6 million space for farmers to reach buyers

DETROIT. Eastern Market has opened a new wholesale distribution facility built at a cost of $16.6 million. The building gives Michigan farmers and food producers an easier way to reach buyers, expanding the range of businesses the market can connect them with.

It's a reinvestment in one of Detroit's oldest food institutions, aimed at strengthening the link between growers across the state and the customers who buy from them.
